Relais Masseria Le Cesine

Architecture as a restrained integration into the landscape adjacent to the WWF-protected Oasis.

Nestled in the picturesque Apulian countryside, adjacent to the WWF-protected Le Cesine Oasis, the Relais Masseria Le Cesine by CDSHotels is a refined 4-star resort converted from an ancient 17th-century agricultural estate.

Structured around the concept of relaxation and well-being in full harmony with nature, the property combines historical charm with modern hospitality, complemented by a private beach accessible via paths through pine forests, olive groves, and Mediterranean dunes.

Landscape harmony and functional elegance integrated with the understated elegance of historical architecture.

The CDSHotels group entrusted Sprech with the task of designing bespoke solutions for shading and protecting the Relais’s extensive outdoor areas. The design challenge was to create original and highly functional structures capable of integrating with the understated elegance of the historical architecture. Sprech responded by developing a multi-purpose outdoor layout, capable of enhancing walkways, gathering points, and dining areas with the same aesthetic rigor.

Q-Box K Pergola and shade sails

The intervention involved the installation of technological coverings for a total surface area of 380 sqm. For the resort’s restaurant room, 300 sqm of coverage was created using the Q-Box K pergola system, equipped with integrated lighting and a retractable textile roof. The remaining 80 sqm of covered area is distributed among special custom-designed solutions: an unprecedented organic tensile structure for the outdoor theater stage, pedestrian shade paths, and the play area, the latter featuring the unique geometric interlocks of the Vela Iris model.
